Coffered Ceilings are a rare find across Chicagoland, and it really is a shame. There is hardly anything more beautiful than a well designed and constructed Coffered Ceiling. This trim application fits well into almost any environment including bedrooms, formal areas, offices, dens, home theaters, basements, or even larger venues. A Coffered Ceiling is practical with a lower 8' ceiling and is even more practical in rooms with ceilings over 10'.

Usually a Coffered Ceiling is aesthetic, in that it is not structural in any way. In these cases the beams are constructed using 1" material and finished to be given the look of a solid beam. After the beam installation each individual "box" that has been formed is trimmed with a Crown Molding detail or a Cornice detail. Coffered Ceilings are a worthy investment to any Chicagoland property.
