Overmantel & Window Casing

August 13th, 2010

Hoffman Estates, IL

In a Great Room lacking in detail, an existing mantel appeared too small. We built an overmantel to match the existing mantel perfectly, then we installed fluted casings around each window. These details turned an empty wall into a themed accent wall.

Flat Panel Wainscoting

August 9th, 2010

Winnetka, IL

After just moving into an older home with some plain features, a customer wanted to add weight and style; all the while staying true to the homes millwork design. We accomplished this by milling a matching profile on hardwood boards, then fitting them together to create a strong wainscoting design. After installation we painted and finished the wainscoting.

Raised Panel Jambs, Crown Molding, & Door Casing

June 19, 2010

Buffalo Grove, IL

The doorway between the Dining Room and Living Room was too boxy for this home owner. They were trying to find ways to spruce it up a bit and make it more formal. That's when we suggested raised panel jambs.

We custom milled these jambs on site to the proper dimensions, then installed them along with new Door Casings and Crown Molding.

Crown Molding Removal / Reinstallation

June 2nd, 2010

Northbrook, IL

After being told that crown molding wouldn't be a problem to install, a woman hired her handyman to perform the work. After 2 days of issues with the installation, she ended up telling him to quit and called TrimLogic!

The handyman didn't have the attention to detail need in order to perfectly install crown molding. His corners we VERY loose and the moldings weren't running straight. After removing his work we carefully installed the new trim, much to the delight of the nervous homeowner.

Tongue & Groove Ceiling / Interior Painting

May 14th, 2010

Chicago, IL

After years of fussing around with drywall cracking along the ceiling, this customer wanted to install boards to hide the cracking while adding character to their room. After carefully installing the tongue and groove planks, we professionally sprayed the ceiling and rolled the walls with the color of their choice.

Crown Molding Installation / Interior Painting

March 26th, 2010

Chicago, IL

When boring condominium ceilings got to be too repetitive for a resident in Uptown, she decided to have some crown molding installed in three bedrooms. In the master bedroom she wanted something that would be an even stronger accent, so we designed and installed a two piece cornice (2nd picture). Afterward, we gave the three rooms a professional paint job.
