TRIMLOGIC'S Quality
"We don't like doing things twice . . . so we do it right the first time!"
At TRIMLOGIC, we take nothing more serious than the quality of our work. We may be the leaders in bringing moldings into peoples homes quickly and easily, but we never stray from our commitment to the work itself. TRIMLOGIC cuts and glues the tightest miters, seams, and joints, and runs the straightest and truest trim you will ever see!
There are so many variables in working with wood. It expands and contracts depending on the weather and humidity levels in the air. That is why TRIMLOGIC takes all the necessary steps to make your interior moldings an investment that will last, regardless of the years of fluxuating humidity.
Mi-ter [mahy-ter]
-noun
1. Carpentry. two oblique surfaces formed on a pieces of wood so as to butt together the two and cause them to be ajoined.
-verb
1. to join with a miter joint.
2. to cut a miter.
At TRIMLOGIC we take our miters very seriously. It is easy to spot poor carpentry work if the miters are loose and there is a gap or a space between the two pieces of wood. This is a carpentry no-no. What sets aside a skilled carpenter is his ability to measure, cut, and install tight miters that last.
Whenever we cut and install miters (which is quite often) we are sure to follow the best carpentry procedures. One of these is the simple yet effective practice of gluing every miter with high grade wood glue. When dry, wood glue actually forms a tighter and stronger bond than any nails ever could. This is the secret for lasting miters that stay put through seasonal humidity changes.
Another practice that TRIMLOGIC is intentional about is cross nailing all miters and corners when possible. Cross nailing is a term used to describe a "back and forth" nailing pattern in which both pieces of wood are nailed directly to each other. This nailing pattern increases miter strength and ensures a strong joint until the glue dries and sets up the miter for good.
Joint [joint]
-noun
1. the place at which two things, or separate parts of one thing, are joined or united, either rigidly or in such a way as to permit motion; juncture.
2. a connection between pieces of wood, metal, or the like, often reinforced with nails, screws, or glue.
-verb
1. Carpentry. to prepare (a board or the like) for fitting in a joint.
TRIMLOGIC takes advantage of some of the best wood joining techniques. Not only this, but we also do our best to make seams and transitions, well . . . seamless! Not only do we cross nail and glue our miters but we appropriately intensify wood bonds by using dowels, plate joining techniques, and pocket screws. TRIMLOGIC wants to give the longest lasting woodwork to our customers and we take the time needed to do so.
